Name: Darjeeling
School: St. Gloriana Girls Academy
Role: Overall Commander
Tank: Churchill
Height: 158cm
Profile
Darjeeling is a third-year student from St. Gloriana Girls High School. She is the overall commander of her school's Sensha-Dō team and she operates a British Churchill tank.
Appearance
Darjeeling is a graceful and kindly girl of average height and build, with a calm and collected demeanour, blonde hair and a pair of light blue eyes. She wears her blond hair in a French braid tied at the nape.
Personality
Darjeeling is well known for her calm and chivalrous personality. She has a great many personal mottos, most of which are lifted from famous poets, playwrights and authors. Two examples of these are: "No matter how fast we go, or no matter how many hits we take, I will never spill my tea." and "An Englishwoman abandons her morals in love and war" (a variation of the popular proverb "All's fair in love and war.") She's also shown to really like drinking tea, and is nicknamed after the Darjeeling tea (like all other "foreign-themed" characters in the show, she's actually Japanese) like most people in her school whose nicknames are based on different kinds of tea. She tends to use puzzling idioms a lot, some of which even Orange Pekoe, her trusted lieutenant and loader, and apparent best friend, can't understand.
In the spin-off manga Girls und Panzer - Motto Love Love Sakusen desu!, she's shown to be very easily influenced by novels and media, going as far as to trying to recreate a scene in a love novel with Orange Pekoe and posing as a maid while offering a (horrendous) maid service to her teammates Orange Pekoe and Assam, as well as the Anglerfish Team, after being influenced by the popular anime line "Do you want a bath? Do you want dinner? Or... Darjeeling?". She's also shown to have a strong obsession of weird things as long as they're symbolically English, like eel jelly or "driving" a coach. She is also shown to be quite vague at times, such as asking questions like "what is lottery?" and referring an amusement corner as paradise. However, of course, these character traits may or may not be canon.
Background
Darjeeling accepted the invitation of Ooarai Girls High School to have an exhibition match by annihilation rules. During the match, she manage to defeat Ooarai but suffered heavy losses (only her Churchill survived). After the match, she complimented Ooarai's overall commander Miho Nishizumi as a worthy opponent by giving them some tea as a gift and told her that she was very different from her sister Maho. She said it was more fun competing with Miho than with her sister. Near the beginning of the match, she proudly said her motto "No matter how fast we go, or no matter how many hits we take, I will never spill my tea" to Miho, but during the match she dropped and broke her tea cup due to shock after hearing news that one of her tanks was defeated and another one suffered damage. This further signifies her shock and her respect for Ooarai's potential. Afterwards, she can clearly be seen watching and commenting on the tournament matches while sitting and drinking tea, along with her best friend Orange Pekoe. She always supports the Ooarai team, and also cheered for Ooarai before their final match with Kuromorimine, along with Kay, Alisa, Katyusha, and Nonna.

Trivia
- Her name is taken from the Darjeeling tea from the Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India.
- Her favorite flower is Blue Rose.
- Her favorite tanks are the British Centurion and Challenger.
- Her hair style is similar to Rosalie de Hemricourt de Grunne from Strike Witches. It's unknown if this was intentional or not as the common link was that Shimada Humikane was involved with both the Light Novel illustrations for Girls und Panzer and the main force behind Strike Witches as he wrote and illustrated the light novels.
- She has a younger sister.
- Darjeeling's birthday is the September 17th, the same date in 1944 as the start of the Battle of Arnhem, which was part of Operation Market Garden.
- In the spin off manga, Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu!, she seems to be fond of imitating other people's actions. It is shown that she is a terrible cooker, as noted by the reaction of her peers and Oaarai's Anglerfish team. She is really good and lucky in games, such as table-tennis, arcade games like racing and fighting, claw machines, billiards, lottery, jackpots, card games, like poker, and many others, defeating Assam and Orange Pekoe in all of them.
- She was the fourth person to kind of realise Katyusha's tactic against Ooarai, after Miho, Maho and Shiho.
Name: Assam
School: St. Gloriana Girls High School
Role: Gunner
Tank: Churchill
Height: 150cm
Profile
Assam is a student from St. Gloriana Girls High School. She serves as the gunner of the Churchill tank, and also as an analyst, able to identify the weak-points of tanks with ease, as well as calculating a battle's odds of success or failure.
Assam also conducts intelligence operations, infiltrating and eavesdropping on other school's plans. She constitutes the entirety of St. Gloriana Sensha-Dō Team's Data Processing Department, Section 6.
AppearanceAssam is a girl with long blonde hair and light purple eyes. Her somewhat extravagant hairstyle is complemented by a black hairband.
Though usually seen in the St. Gloriana uniforms, she has also been depicted in a maid's outfit, and in the Tategoto High School's uniform.
Personality
Assam has little screen time during the anime. As such, few can be pointed out about her personality; her artwork, however, states that she is fond of jokes. She also appeared on the series' first drama CD Kondo wa Drama CD desu!, where she spoke with the Anglerfish Team for the first time. There, she is shown to be quite normal and polite as well.
She plays a more prominent role in the spin-off manga Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu!, where she often appears alongside Darjeeling and Orange Pekoe. Due to her sober and level-headed personality, she often plays the counterpart to Darjeeling's hyped and exaggerated nature together with Orange Pekoe. Although she often appears to be the most normal person among the St. Gloriana trio, she has a tendency to tell jokes and puns which are usually extremely cheesy and therefore appeals to a more unique sense of humor. However, she loves if somebody is amused and laughs to them, especially in Hana and Kay's case.
Assam is seen in Ribbon Warrior, eavesdropping on a conversation between Aung and Shizuka Tsuruki at Tategoto High School, then reporting her information back to Darjeeling.

Trivia
- Her name derives from the Assam Tea.
- Her favorite tank is the A30 Challenger.
- While Darjeeling and Orange Pekoe have been watching every match of Ooarai Girls High School in the 63rd Sensha-dō National Tournament, Assam did not appear after episode 4 again.
- Probably spying on the other schools. No wonder Darjeeling was so well informed during the course of the anime.
- Often joked about having a "computer brain" due to her role as a gunner and her intelligence gathering capabilities.
- Assam's birthday is December 10th, the same date that in 1941 British capital ships HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse are sunk by Japanese Imperial Navy torpedo bombers in the South China Sea.
- She bears a near identical resemblance to Mika Ahonen from Strike Witches, though this is likely due to Shimada Humikane being the character designer for both Strike Witches and Girls und Panzer.
- She has an older brother.

Name: Orange Pekoe
School: St. Gloriana Girls High School
Role: Loader
Tank: Churchill
Height: 144cm
Profile
Orange Pekoe is a first year student from St. Gloriana Girls High School. She is the loader of her school's Sensha-Dō team's Churchill Mk.VII.
Appearance
Orange Pekoe is a pretty, clear faced girl with ginger hair and light purple eyes. She wears her hair in two braids tied in twist buns.
Personality
Orange Pekoe is always seen as a fairly quiet, considerate character, both inside and outside of battle. She seems to be younger than her superior, Darjeeling, and doesn't seem to share her commander's utter sense of calm and control. She is very close to Darjeeling.
She is also said to be very skilled at making tea.
Background
After their exhibition match against Ooarai Girls High School, she is always seen accompanying Darjeeling to watch Ooarai's matches. She initially has doubts of their team winning, but before the beginning of the finals, she and Darjeeling have both finally developed the faith to believe that Ooarai might win the tournament. She is usually the victim to Darjeeling's words of wisdom, many of which she doesn't seem to understand. She seems dubious of Ooarai's chances of winning at first, but soon starts to take up their side as well, joining all of Ooarai's previous adversaries.
In Ribbon Warrior, she is the commander of the Chindits team. She defeated Rukuriri and the regular Sensha-dō team in a tankathlon match by acting as bait while Rosehip attacked from behind but was later defeated by Jajka as she had anticipated an attack from the rear and knocked out Rukuriri as she emerged to ambush them and then quickly eliminated the rest of the Chindits.

Trivia
- Her name is an anomaly compared to those of her teammates. Orange Pekoe is a tea leaf grading, not a particular blend of tea. Her favorite flower is Orange Rose and her favorite tank is the British Crusader.
- In the spinoff manga, Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu!, Pekoe is shown to be deceptively strong, far stronger than her two crewmates, as when Darjeeling and Assam pull her in different directions she easily stops them. She is also showed to be quite nervous whenever Darjeeling is hyped (Keep on saying some puzzling provebs) and also when she has a fever, she did hope that Darjeeling wouldn't come to visit for fear of her terrible maid service, bad cooking and unfamiliarity with the workings of medicines. However, the canonicity of this manga is debated.
- Darjeeling entertains fantasies of giving piggy back rides to Orange Pekoe, inspired courtesy of Katyusha and Nonna.
- Orange Pekoe's birthday is the July 10th, the same date as the start of Operation Husky (the operation began on the night of 9/10 July), better known as the Sicilian Campaign.
- While in the anime Orange Pekoe seems not to understand the meanings of most of Darjeeling's proverbs, in the Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! she displays good knowledge on where these sayings at least come from
- Orange Pekoe has a younger cousin who adores her, even going so far as to copy her dress and hairstyle. The resemblance between the two was so similar, when Assam and Darjeeling saw the cousin, they genuinely thought Orange Pekoe had shrank, dubbing her: "Mini-Pekoe".
Profile
Rukuriri is a student at St. Gloriana Girls High School, as well as the tank commander for one of St. Gloriana's Matilda Mk.II. She has served in every single match St. Gloriana has been depicted in, in both the anime and the movie.
Description
Rukuriri is a girl of medium height, with brown eyes and long brown hair tied in a braid over her left shoulder. She has been seen wearing the St. Gloriana Sensha-dō uniform, and presumably wears the school uniform outside of battle. She wears a black hairpin on the right side of her head.
On one occasion, she visited Ooarai and wore the uniform for that school.
Personality
Rukuriri taunting Duck team, moments before being tricked.
Rukuriri is a fairly competent member of the St. Gloriana Sensha-dō team. She is able to engage and pursue the enemy, though is sometimes constrained by the slow speed of her tank. During the match against Selection University, she survived until the very end, when she was taken out by one of the members of the Bermuda Trio, swearing all the while. She may also harbor favorable feelings towards the Ooarai Sensha-dō team, as she was one of the St. Gloriana reinforcements for the Ooarai Compound Team.
Rukuriri can be slightly arrogant and outspoken at times, as seen when hunting down Duck Team (and Fukuda in the movie.) When confronted with danger, her defensive mechanism is to duck into her tank and button the hatch, not unlike how a turtle retreats into its shell when confronted with danger.
Has a bit of an antagonistic relationship with Duck Team, calling them "fools" on several occasions, though ironically its always her being tricked.
She has described herself as being calm and composed.
Background
Rukuriri was first seen during the practice match against Ooarai, bowing to her opponents at the beginning of the match. In this match, her tank was number 05. She took part in the initial encirclement of the Ooarai tanks, and chased them into the city. While looking for the enemy, she opened the hatch and leaned out of her tank for better situational awareness. This allowed her to spot the lights of a parking garage being opened. She presumed that one of the tanks was hidden inside, and lined her tank up to face the entrance, commenting on the lack of intelligence of whoever decided to hide in such an obvious spot. Ironically, Duck Team's Type 89B was actually hidden in the parking lift behind her, which she didn't realize until she saw their reflection in the mirror of the garage. She looked behind her, and to her horror discovered a tank aiming directly at the Matilda's rear. She ducked into the tank at the exact second Duck Team fired. Fortunately, the rear armor of the Matilda II was strong enough to dissipate the round's effect. As soon as the smoke cleared, she annihilated the Type 89B.
She was later taken out by the Panzer IV towards the end of the match.
In the movie, she was in one of the four tanks holding out in a golf course during the Chi-Ha-Tan/Ooarai vs. St, Gloriana/Pravda exhibition match. Her tank was the only surviving Matilda after her position was barraged on all sides by the Ooarai and Chi-Ha-Tan tanks. She later proceeded to chase Duck Team and the last surviving Chi-Ha-Tan tank through the Ooarai streets, where she once again lost their trail. Noticing the flashing light of the same parking garage where she was ambushed during her first battle in Ooarai, she moved in and took up an identical position. However, she reversed the Matilda's turret, anticipating Duck Team's appearance from the rear. Whilst her prediction is correct, Fukuda's Type 95 Ha-Go turned out to be hiding in the parking garage, and ambushed Rukuriri again, ironically from the front this time.
Rukuriri commanded the Matilda II that was sent to reinforce Ooarai against the thirty-tank strong Selection University Team. Joining Team Dandelion alongside the other St. Gloriana tanks, she became bogged down in an inconclusive long range duel out on the wetlands. Later in the theme park, she started off defending the eastern utility gate, although the team was forced to retreat. For the majority of the fight in the theme park, she supported Darjeeling and the Saunder's Tanks in facing off against the T28 Super Heavy Tank. After the T28 was defeated, Rukuriri rendezvoused with the remaining heavy tanks and attempted to intercept the Bermuda Trio before they could regroup with Alice. Rukuriri attempted to ram the Pershings, but her tank is evaded and knocked out for her efforts.
In Ribbon Warrior, Rukuriri acted as the commander of the regular Sensha-dō team in a Tankathlon match against Orange Pekoe's Chindits. She later supervised and timed an exercise in which the Chindits had to remove a stuck Tetrarch from a river within a time limit.
During Darjeeling's Tankathlon tournament, she worked as a bookkeeper, taking bets on who would win, and took part in a match as the Chindit's Yojimbo in their battle against Bonple. Unfortunately, she was almost immediately knocked out as Jajka had anticipated Pekoe's plan to ambush them and two of their 7TP's turrets were pointing in the direction Rukuriri attacked from.

Trivia

- Her fan made name is "Uroshi-da!" or "Behind us!" due to her infamous line in Episode 4.
- Rukuriri is a type of Kenyan tea.
- Her hair seems to become dark between the greetings in Episode 3 and her later appearance in Episode 4 in the parking lot.
Profile
Rosehip is a first year student at St. Gloriana and the Commander of their Crusader Tank Platoon.
Appearance
She is an average height sized girl, she has pinkish red hair and a pair of orange eyes.
Personality
She is very energetic and is a speedy runner, doing everything fast to complete tasks as soon as possible and in some situations, like eating, to finish first. She never restrains herself when going after something, not caring about failure or what others may say if she doesn't behave in a way that is socially approved by them. According to Darjeeling this trait is something that St. Gloriana's Sensha-dō and its members naturally lack, and hence she is sometimes jealous of Rosehip. However, Rosehip naturally lacks the gracefulness, elegance and manners of a St. Gloriana Student and because of that Darjeeling gave her a special table-manners class.
Background/Drama CD
According to the Drama CD, Rosehip comes from a big family, with her great-grandfather, her grandfather, her grandmother, her parents, seven older brothers and sister, plus two sisters-in-law and their three children, making a total of eighteen family members including Rosehip - Hence the reason why she always removes the speed limiters for everything she does, to avoid being the last one.
Still in the Drama CD, it is mentioned that she witnessed the practice match between Ooarai and St. Gloriana, the first actual match Ooarai had on the anime, for Rosehip, it was an honor to watch Darjeeling in action. After the match in the end of the episode, Darjeeling, Orange Pekoe and Assam have some tea, in the background it's possible to see the Churchill and Matildas deployed for the battle, it's also possible to see a Crusader Mk.II. Rosehip didn't participate on that battle because she wasn't matching the standards of a St. Gloriana student, as stated above.
Girls und Panzer der Film
In Girls und Panzer der Film, she had a more active role as the commander of a Crusader Mk.III and the Crusader platoon, where her speed was used as an advantage. In the exhibition match between Ooarai/Chi-Ha-Tan vs. St. Gloriana/Pravda, she served as a back-up inside the town battle zone, she served good as a distraction, but the excessive speed made her tank lose control during driving maneuvers, hitting Klara's tank and exploding, although she survived (unlike Klara's T-34/85) and was about to rendezvous with the allied tanks when she was mistakenly got hit in mid-air by a terribly aimed shot by Momo, who was actually aiming at the enemy flag tank, the Churchill.
Later on the movie, she got temporarily transferred to Ooarai alongside her teammates to participate In the annihilation match between the Ooarai Compound Team vs. Selection University. This time she was the only Crusader, in the initial phase of the battle she provided support to Team Morning Glory. Later on the teams were split, she used speed to fight the enemy, right before being taken out she performed a mid-air attack, taking out the enemy M24 Chaffee tank. Rosehip was the last surviving member of her school in the annihilation match.
Motto Love Love Sasuken Desu!
She has a cameo in the manga during a visit to Ooarai right after their victory on the annihilation match against Selection University. She was scolded by the Public Morals Committee for running in the corridors. She also had a talk with Klara about what happened during the exhibition match.
Ribbon Warrior
Rosehip commanded a Light Tank Mk.VII Tetrarch as part of Orange Pekoe's Chindits in a Tankathlon match against Rukuriri and the regular Sensha-Dō team's Matilda IIs, quickly eliminating their entire column from behind. She is shown wielding a Kukri, a Nepalese knife similar to a machete used by the Gurkhas of the British Army, to cut a path through the jungle-like vegetation for her tank and while charging Rukuriri's Matilda. In their match against Bonple, Rosehip was knocked out while attempting to shield Orange Pekoe's Tetrarch.
Trivia

Trivia
- Like other students from St. Gloriana, she is named after a tea; which is based on the color of the one she drinks while in battle.
- Implied to come from a "lower-class" family in many of the derivative works. Would explain her much less tactful personality in comparison to the majority of the St. Gloriana members.
- She is said to have seven other siblings, all male. This would also attribute to her personality.
- Roseship frequently displays aggression on an insanely reckless scale. She is not afraid to charge down any enemy, with or without support. Darjeeling's most common battlefield instruction to Rosehip is "Come back!".
- Rosehip's Crusader Mk.III has a speed governor on it, presumably to restrain her excitement from losing control of her tank. However, removing said governor during the match against Selection University allowed her to take down the enemy Chaffee.

Description
Nilgiri is a girl of medium height, with brown eyes and brown hair tied in a crown braid. She has been seen wearing the St. Gloriana Sensha-dō uniform, and wears the school uniform outside of battle.
Personality
As she has nearly no screen time and no quote in the anime her personality is relatively unknown. In a MLLSD it is nod that she seems to admire Assam.
Background
Nilgiri was first seen during the practice match against Ooarai, bowing to her opponents at the beginning of the match. She took part in the initial encirclement of the Ooarai tanks, and chased them into the city. Unfortunenately for her her tank is ambushed by the StuG III.
In the match against BC Freedom, she accompanied Darjeeling's tank to BC Freedom's flag tank but she is shot down by the ambushed M4A1 (in a similar manner as in the training match against Ooarai). She is the only St. Gloriana casualties of the match.
In the match against Yogurt her tank is immobilized by an unknown tank or SPG.
In the match against Kuromorimine, she is assigned to the Cromwell tank. Later in the match Darjeeling sent her to divert enemy's attention to permit the Crusaders to perform a reconnaissance to locate Kuromorimine's flag tank.
She was later seen in a MLLSD with Rukuriri observing Assam, believing she thinking about tactics, unaware that Assam instead elaborates lame jokes.
